iHeartRadio Music Festival: What to Know

Since 2011, iHeartRadio has brought global superstars to the Las Vegas desert for one of the year’s most talked-about and exciting musical events. The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Festival promises to be a thrilling concert experience from start to finish when it takes over T-Mobile Arena September 22-23 with a star-studded lineup. Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s festival.

The Lineup

Over the years, the iHeartRadio Music Festival has nabbed big name performers like JAY-Z, Alicia Keys, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Jennifer Lopez, putting high expectations on the 2017 lineup (spoiler alert: it does not disappoint). Kicking things off on night one is Coldplay, The Weeknd, Chris Stapleton, P!nk, Thirty Seconds to Mars, David Guetta and Harry Styles. While most of the performing artists are adding the Las Vegas gig as a pit stop in the midst of major tours, P!nk and David Guetta can only be found circulating certain festivals, making their appearances extra special.

The fun doesn’t stop there, as the festival concludes with DJ Khaled, Lorde, Kings of Leon, Big Sean, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Thomas Rhett and Kesha taking the stage on night two. Newly announced special guests include Macklemore, Khalid, Bleachers, Bebe Rexha and Horan and Styles’ former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson. The diverse group of performers stretch across rock, pop, hip-hop, rap, and country genres, offering something for everyone in the crowd.

The “Extended” Lineup

The annual festival features more music held nearby at the Las Vegas Village, which hosts both notable names, up-and-coming talent, and everything in between during the daylight as a warm-up to the main event. Pegged to perform on the Daytime Village stage are Julia Michaels, Migos, Khalid, Halsey, Flume, Little Mix, Kelsea Ballerini, Noah Cyrus, Cheat Codes, All Time Low, Judah & The Lion, Bebe Rexha, French Montana, Hey Violet and Bleachers. Horan will perform double-duty, as the sole artist to perform on both stages during the two-day festival, giving fans a treat.

The Venue

Any show or event happening in Vegas is sure to be an unforgettable one with an electric atmosphere. Attendees who venture to the Daytime Village (located near Mandalay Bay and Luxor resorts) will find 15 beautiful acres of entertainment space on the south end of the Las Vegas strip. As for the main performances, this marks the second year the iHeartRadio Music Festival will take place at T-Mobile Arena, which has quickly become one of the most popular venues in Vegas since opening last year.
