They’re at it again. After wrapping up their wildly successful Joshua Tree Tour earlier last month, U2 has announced plans for their next trek: the 2018 Experience + Innocence tour.
The legendary rock band will head to 15 North American arenas next summer, with the tour slated to kick off May 9 in Tulsa. Other cities on the itinerary include Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. A June 5 gig at Montreal’s Bell Centre is the lone Canadian show scheduled thus far.
Bono and company have pegged their upcoming tour as a sequel to their 2015 Innocence + Experience Tour, which comes in support of their fourteenth studio album Songs of Experience, due out Dec. 1, and follows the band’s 2014 album Songs of Innocence.
There is no word yet on whether additional tour dates are expected, mainly the possibility of stadium gigs, though the Irish rockers can expect to sell out whichever venue they play regardless.
