The Eagles unveiled plans to embark on a North American tour next year, recruiting some very famous faces to tag along.
The California rockers announced 12 shows that will bring them to major arenas and stadiums throughout next spring and summer. The trek kicks off March 14 in Chicago and stretches to July 28 with a final gig in Philadelphia. Stops along the way include Houston, Nashville, Boston, Denver and a pair of Canadian shows in Vancouver and Toronto.
Joining the legendary band on select dates are Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reef Band, country megastar Chris Stapleton, and James Taylor (along with his All-Star Band). Vince Gill and Deacon Frey are also featured in the Eagles lineup alongside longtime members Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit.
Gill and Frey (who is the son of late founding member Glen Frey) joined the group earlier this summer for a pair of shows at the Classic East and West festival, which marked the first concert performance from the band since Frey’s 2015 death. Shortly after the loss of his friend, Henley revealed he was uncertain if the Eagles would ever perform without Frey. However, the reconfigured lineup proved successful at the festival’s trial run and Gill and Frey remained on board for select shows during the fall.
