The official Coachella 2018 lineup has been announced to the delight of many. The Weeknd, Beyoncé and Eminem will each headline two shows of the annual two-weekend festival, with some of music’s best and brightest newcomers supporting them.
The official Coachella Twitter account made the announcement with a single tweet of the festival’s poster, displaying all the acts making a splash in Indio, CA this spring.
The Weeknd and Eminem are pegged for the Friday and Sunday performance slots, respectively, whereas Saturday headliner Beyoncé has her legion of fans especially stoked about the ever-popular festival. Queen Bey will finally take the stage after she was forced to pull out of the headlining gig last year due to her pregnancy with twins Sir and Rumi. Speculation is already swirling that the “Formation” singer will pull a fast one on her fans and drop new music in the time leading up the coveted performance. Nevertheless, her appearance already plans to be historic as she is the festival’s first woman of color headliner ever.

The Weeknd has been preparing for a major Coachella performance for years, and was featured in the festival’s lineup in 2012 and 2015. He continues to ride the success of his latest album Starboy, and will no doubt get a party going. Eminem landed the gig following the release of his ninth album Revival, which features the rapper at his most outspoken, political, and raw.
